Job Summary

• Develop, test, and refine CNC programs for a variety of complex components and assemblies.
• Utilize Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar CAM software to generate accurate and efficient toolpaths.
• Optimize programs for cycle time reduction and machine utilization.
• Conduct simulations and first-article inspections to ensure program accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during CNC machining and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of CNC machine capabilities and limitations.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and machinists to achieve optimal production outcomes.
• Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest advancements in CNC programming technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for complex 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds based on material properties and machining requirements.
• Perform setups and ensure proper machine operation according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed program documentation for future reference.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize CNC programming processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar CAM software.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, G&M codes, and machining terminology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
